98° Tour de France – 1° Cadel Evans

Buscate è, da molti anni, al centro della storia del ciclismo sia italiano che straniero e, dopo le numerose maglie e titoli conquistati da Giuseppe Saronni (ciclisticamente è nato nella SC Buscatese ed ha abitato a Buscate per qualche anno), ricordiamo la maglia ieridata di Godwood, quella rosa nel Giro d’Italia, e le tante maglie azzurre, mancava quella Gialla, simbolo del vincitore del Tour De France.

Cette soirée sera présentée par les journalistes Françoise Bonivert, Thierry Luthers et Rodrigo Beenkens et sera rehaussée par la participation d’Eddy Merckx et de Bernard Hinault.

L’entrée est gratuite et l’accueil aura lieu de 19 à 19 h 45, le programme complet figure en pièce jointe.

The Province of Liège and Amaury Sport Organisation are pleased to announce that the Grand Départ of The Tour de France 2012 will take place in Liège.

Further details will be announced during the press conference on

18^th November 2010 at 12 AM

in the Provincial Palace of Liège

(Place St Lambert – 4000 Liège – Belgium)

The general public will be informed of this extraordinary event on the occasion of a free concert in the Country Hall of Liège on 18^th November at 8 PM featuring Michael Jones, Lââm, Luc Baiwir, Louisy Joseph, Leopold Nord, Jean-Pierre Mader, Plastic Bertrand, Olivier Laurent, Wendy Nazaré, Strings 4Ever.

This event will be presented by journalists Françoise Bonivert, Thierry Luthers and Rodrigo Beenkens and enhanced by the presence of Eddy Merckx and Bernard Hinault.

TOUR DE FRANCE 2011 : HONNEUR AU GALIBIER

3471 kilomètres de course, répartis sur 21 étapes, dont deux disputées en contre-la-montre, sur les routes de 34

départements français, avec une visite en Italie. Le parcours du Tour de France, dévoilé ce matin au Palais des

Congrès de Paris, s’appréhende comme un voyage au coeur des terres de cyclisme du pays. Après le Grand

Départ, accueilli en Vendée pour la cinquième fois de l’histoire, le peloton séjournera en Bretagne, puis se

dirigera vers le Cantal pour une première explication entre grimpeurs, programmée à Super Besse. L’entrée dans

la haute montagne se fera ensuite par les Pyrénées, avec trois étapes corsées en dénivelé. Au terme de cette

série, le vainqueur au Plateau de Beille sera particulièrement observé : jusqu’à présent, tous ceux qui y ont gagné

se sont aussi imposés à la fin du Tour.

Pour l’exploration des Alpes, les organisateurs ont tenu à associer leurs voisins italiens, qui fêteront en 2011 le

150ème anniversaire de l’unité italienne, et qui ont eux aussi fait honneur à la montagne dans la longue histoire du

Giro. Un autre anniversaire sera célébré pour le retour en France du peloton : lors de la 18ème étape, les coureurs

feront route vers le Galibier, que le Tour a découvert cent ans plus tôt, en 1911. Cette fois-ci, la ligne d’arrivée

sera la plus haut perchée de l’histoire, à 2 645 mètres d’altitude. Toutefois, l’étape du lendemain sera peut-être

encore plus décisive, avec une bataille sans répit de 109 km, qui conduira une seconde fois les champions au

Galibier, puis sur l’ascension de l’Alpe d’Huez. A 48 heures de l’arrivée, la lutte pour le Maillot Jaune pourrait

encore connaître des rebondissements, sur l’unique contre-la-montre individuel du Tour 2011, dessiné autour de

Grenoble.

PRIX SPORTIFS : DES INNOVATIONS POUR LES MAILLOTS VERT ET A POIS

Victoire d’étape – Powerbar. Le Tour de France

honore chaque jour le coureur qui franchit le

premier la ligne d’arrivée.

Maillot Jaune – LCL. Il distingue le leader du

classement général, établi par l’addition des temps

réalisés sur chaque étape.

Maillot vert – PMU. Il est porté par le leader du

classement par points. Nouveauté 2011 : les

étapes en ligne ne proposeront plus qu’un seul

sprint intermédiaire, où les 15 premiers coureurs

seront dotés. L’enjeu devrait donc

systématiquement impliquer les sprinteurs du

peloton, même après le passage d’une échappée.

Maillot à pois – Carrefour. Il revient au leader du

classement de la montagne. Nouveauté 2011 : le

barème de points et le nombre de coureurs

récompensés sur chaque ascension a été revu afin

de réduire les écarts entre les protagonistes. Par

exemple, le doublement des points ne se fera

lorsque l’arrivée se trouve au sommet des

ascensions classées en 2ème, 1ère et hors-catégorie.

Maillot blanc – Skoda. Le coureur le mieux

positionné au classement général, parmi les jeunes

âgés de 25 ans ou moins, est récompensé par le

maillot blanc.

Classement par équipes – Digital. Il est établi à

partir des résultats des trois meilleurs coureurs de

chaque équipe, sur chacune des étapes. Les

coureurs de la formation la mieux classée portent

un dossard jaune.

Prix Brandt de la Combativité. Un jury

essentiellement composé de journalistes désigne

chaque jour le coureur le plus méritant, remarqué

pour son tempérament offensif, son audace ou sa

sportivité. Sur l’étape du lendemain, il porte un

dossard de couleur rouge. Un super-combatif est

également choisi en fin de Tour.

TOUR DE FRANCE 2011: PRIDE OF PLACE FOR GALIBIER

With 3,471 kilometres (2,517 miles) of racing, spread over 21 stages, including two time-trials, along the roads of

34 French departments, with a visit to Italy, the route of the Tour de France, unveiled this morning at the Paris

Convention Centre, is akin to a journey through the midst of the country’s cycling heartlands. After the Grand

Start, hosted by the Vendée for the fifth time it its history, the pack will spend time in Brittany, before heading to

the Cantal for a first battle between the climbers at Super Besse. The race’s baptism with the high mountain roads

will take place in the Pyrenees, with three tough gradient stages. On completion of this series, all eyes will be on

the winner at the Plateau de Beille: to date every rider who has won there has also been triumphant at the end of

Le Tour.

For the exploration of the Alps, the organisers insisted on the collaboration of their Italian neighbours who in 2011

will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of Italian unification and who have also given pride of place to the

mountains throughout the long history of the Giro. On the return of the pack to France, there will be another

anniversary to celebrate: during the 18th stage, the riders will head towards the Galibier pass which Le Tour

discovered one hundred years ago, in 1911. This time, the finishing line will be the highest in history, at an altitude

of 2,645 metres. However, the following day’s stage will probably be more decisive, with a relentless 109-km

battle, taking the riders up the Galibier pass for a second time before climbing up the Alpe d’Huez. Forty-eight

hours from the final finishing line, the struggle for the Yellow Jersey could still see some surprises on the sole

individual time trial on Le Tour in 2011, in a loop around Grenoble.

CLASSIFICATIONS: INNOVATIONS FOR THE GREEN AND POLKA DOT JERSEYS

Stage victory – Powerbar. Each day, the Tour de

France pays tribute to the first rider to cross the

finishing line.

Yellow Jersey – LCL. It is awarded to the leader of

the general individual classification, made up by

adding the times achieved on each stage.

Green Jersey – PMU. It is worn by the leader of the

points classification. New in 2011: the flat stages

will only include one intermediary sprint with points

awarded to the first 15 riders. The aim is to

systematically involve the sprinters in the pack, even

after the passage of a breakaway.

Polka Dot Jersey – Carrefour. It is worn by the

leader of the best climber classification. New for

2011: the points system and number of riders

awarded points on each climb has been revised in

order to reduce the gaps between the competitors.

For example, points will only be doubled for a

finishing line at the summit of 2nd, 1st and highest

level climbs.

White Jersey – Skoda. The best positioned rider in

the general individual classification amongst those

below the age of 25 years wears the White Jersey.

Team classification – Digital. It is based on the

results of the best three riders in each team on each

of the stages. The riders of the leading team wear a

yellow number bib.

Most aggressive rider – Brandt. Each day, a jury

mainly made up of journalists designates the most

deserving rider, rewarded for his attacking

temperament, boldness and fair-play. On the

following day’s stage, he wears a red number bib. At

the end of the race an overall award is also made.

SIDI SPORT RE DEL TOUR DE FRANCE CON ALBERTO CONTADOR

Genius 6.6 Carbon Lite sul podio di Parigi con l’asso spagnolo

 

Maser (TV), 26 luglio 2010 - Alberto Contador (Team Astana) è il re dell’edizione numero 97 del Tour de France. Con lui in maglia gialla sul podio di Parigi le inseparabili calzature Sidi Genius 6.6 Carbon Lite, il top di gamma della collezione strada Sidi, scelte e utilizzate dal campione spagnolo.

L’Italia sale così sul tetto della Grande Boucle con il “made in Italy” delle calzature Sidi Sport disegnate e realizzate nel quartiere generale Sidi di Maser (Treviso) e utilizzate da Alberto Contador nella lunga avventura tinta di giallo attraverso le strade e le salite  del Tour de France 2010.

 

Una vittoria costruita tappa dopo tappa, nel lungo testa a testa con il lussemburghese Andy Schleck che ha visto i due giovani campioni combattere metro dopo metro sulle salite di Alpi e Pirenei e secondo  dopo secondo nelle prove contro il tempo. Un duello spettacolare ed emozionante fino all’ultima tappa, durato per quasi 92 ore e 3641,9 km, che ha visto trionfare meritatamente Alberto Contador e con lui Sidi Sport, con lo staff Sidi presente a Parigi sugli Champs Elysées ad applaudire e festeggiare il suo campione.

Un successo che proietta Contador, nell’Olimpo del grande ciclismo assieme ai campioni che hanno costruito il mito e la leggenda di questo sport. A soli 27 anni l’asso spagnolo infatti ha già vinto 5 delle 6 grandi corse a tappe alle quali ha preso parte in carriera. Alla tripletta firmata al Tour de France (2007, 2009  e 2010) si aggiungono le vittorie al Giro d’Italia e alla Vuelta España nel 2008.

Il bilancio della Liquigas-Doimo dopo il Tour de France Ecco i commenti di Basso, Kreuziger e del diesse Zanatta alla Grande Boucle 26 luglio – Il Tour de France appena concluso ha offerto importanti spunti di riflessione alla Liquigas-Doimo. Come afferma il diesse Stefano Zanatta «è stata una corsa contraddistinta da un alto livello di agonismo, nella quale siamo comunque riusciti ad essere competitivi. Per la quinta volta consecutiva abbiamo chiuso un grande giro in nove corridori: un dato che dimostra la compattezza e la forza di questo gruppo. Il nono posto di Kreuziger è un risultato che ci soddisfa, così come guardiamo molto positivamente alle prestazioni dei giovani Oss e Koren. Valutiamo serenamente anche la prova di Basso: le fatiche del Giro si sono fatte sentire e il malessere successivo ha eliminato qualsiasi chance per un piazzamento. Non potevamo chiedere di più. L’esperienza di maturata quest’anno è comunque un importante punto di partenza per il futuro». Dal canto suo Ivan Basso accetta il risultato ottenuto con la consapevolezza di aver il corso al massimo delle possibilità: «Ho onorato il Tour fino alla fine e non posso rimproverarmi niente. Chiuso il Giro d’Italia volevo assolutamente andare in Francia e per questo, nonostante mi fossi prefisso obiettivi differenti, sono soddisfatto dell’esperienza. Sentivo la necessità di tornare a respirare l’aria del Tour e di misurarmi nella corsa più impegnativa. Sulla strada ho trovato avversari molto preparati e un podio sarebbe stato irraggiungibile. Non avessi sofferto nella settimana decisiva, però, sono convinto che un piazzamento tra i dieci sarebbe stato alla mia portata. Ora che la corsa è finita sono pronto ad accettare le critiche costruttive: come al termine della stagione scorsa, mi spro neranno a lavorare duro per  migliorare ancora. Rimango convinto che due grandi corse a tappe ad alto livello, per un corridore con la mia esperienza, sia possibile correrle. A fine stagione analizzerò insieme ai tecnici della Liquigas-Doimo come poterci riuscire, migliorando ancora la programmazione della stagione: i bilanci fanno fatti più avanti, ora voglio solo chiudere questo 2010 nel migliore dei modi. La squadra che mi ha supportato al Tour è stata fantastica, così come lo staff tecnico. Tutti hanno dimostrato grande attaccamento, sia nel bene che nel male, è per questo li ringrazio profondamente». Roman Kreuziger, che sabato sarà ai nastri di partenza della Clàsica San Sebastiàn, definisce il suo nono posto come un obiettivo raggiunto: «E’ stato un Tour impegnativo e combattutissimo e per questo accetto il risultato con soddisfazione. Le ambizioni, ad inizio corsa, erano di poter guadagnare qualche posizione rispetto al 2009 ma, viste le grandi performance degli avversari, è un successo essere riuscito ad eguagliarne l’esito. Ho vissuto un Tour in crescendo, con un inizio difficile ed una terza settimana positiva: sarà un dato importante nelle valutazioni tecniche di fine stagione. Grazie alla buona condizione che posso vantare ora conto di vivere un finale di stagione da protagonista. Dopo “San Sebàstian” correrò il Trofeo Melinda e poi la Vuelta a España: vorrei regalare a me stesso e alla squadra nuove soddisfazioni». The riders of FOOTON-SERVETTO-FUJI took on a short ride and tried various one-seater competition cars on the Pau-Arnos circuit during the second rest day of the Tour de France A REST DAY ON 4-WHEELERS   TOUR DE FRANCE & AUTODROMO DI PAU PER I CORRIDORI DELLA FOOTON SERVETTO It was a distinguished day for the FOOTON-SERVETTO-FUJI riders in the 97th Tour de France, as the squad had a rest day –the second in this year’s Grande Boucle- way different from the normal activies in such moments. The five riders from the Gold Generation still active in the French race –Eros Capecchi, Arkaitz Durán, Alberto Benítez, Aitor Pérez Arrieta and Rafael Valls- visited on Wednesday morning the Pau-Arnos racing circuit, where the official presentation of the ‘1974 Porsche 3LRS 1974 cars sponsors by Footon and Servetto was held, as the team embarks on an adventure including famous historic car competitions, such as the French championships or the Le Mans Classics. Corridori Tour De France e Piloti a Pau The Gold squad’s riders and staff could get known to the vehicle’s specs by the explanations of drivers Jean-François Coin and Xavier Louis, and also had the opportunity to try some one-seaters owned by the circuit, including some F-3 cars that gave the riders a chance to relax from the usual pressure inside the races. The UCI ProTour’s youngest squad also did some laps to the circuit on their bikes, so as not to lose their muscular tone in the eve of the last Pirenaic ride in the 2010 Tour, to be held on Thursday over 174 kilometers from Pau to the Col du Tourmalet, also featuring the famous Cat. 1 climbs of Marie Blanque (km. 56) and Soulor (km. 117). Mayoz is picked up to San Sebastián Despite the previous choice to leave on this morning the hospital in Vielha where he had been moved into after Sunday’s crash during the trek to Ax-3 Domaines, Basque rider Iban Mayoz was eventually picked up in the late evening on Tuesday to a medical center in Lleida.
